Lewes, Del. (Jan. 19, 2004) Targeted to golfers with a modern
sense of style,
the Cyclonic 2004 Tour Series are the newest generation of Cyclonic
shoes to
re-interpret golf¹s tradition of style and performance in a
twenty-first century context
for a new generation of golfers. Cyclonics are not your father¹s
golf shoes.
New styles for 2004 include:
… Derek, a look as appropriate for casual
street wear as it is for golf, featuring
two straps of leather covered Velcro closures that ³wrap²
around the front of the
shoe. Each strap is secured with gunmetal silver buckles. Available
in two
colorations, black or white full-grain leather.
… Erwin, the classic, lace up look in white,
featuring full-grain leather uppers,
gray open mesh lining with black midsole and outsole.
… Beast, a customer favorite four years
running, this unique oxford has been
updated to include removable spikes and is available in a smart
tri-colored
combination of black, white and brown leather.
… Lennox, updated for 2004, this modern
version of a classic brogue style shoe
is now available black, full-grain waxy finish leather with white
midsole
and charcoal outsole.
The Cyclonic Tour Series shoes combine the stability, balance and
swing power of
Cyclonic¹s high-density rubber molded sole, with replaceable
Eclipse cleats from
Trisport featuring the Fast Twist insert system. A memory-retention
PU midsole
provides unrivaled fit and comfort. Open-mesh linings and a breathable
waterproof
membrane ensure ultimate comfort. Cyclonic¹s trademark wider
toe box offers more
comfort and stability.
Cyclonic Tour Series golf shoes are crafted from high-quality,
full-grain waterproof
leather and carry a two-year waterproof guarantee. The shoes retail
for $109 per pair.
³We¹re excited about this year¹s line of the Cyclonic
Tours,² said Cary Hensley,
company president and chief design officer. ³Golfers are responding
to a shoe
that fits their personal style of dress, which may not necessarily
be the conservative
look typically found on a golf course. What¹s interesting is
that not just the younger
golfers, but golfers who¹ve been playing for years are buying
Cyclonics, too. It seems
all age groups want to express their personal style on the golf
course.²
